A help for the Caritas
For sixteen years Caritas is pledged in Georgia by the side of who toils to live: children, adolescents, young, needy and fleeing families, elderly, gotten sick, persons cast out in extreme poverty. And all this in faithfulness to the actual vocation: the charity that it is done action, putting the actual caution to the last of the land.
Sensitive to the possibility of to ensure a decorous present, Polin gave to the Georgian Caritas oven, mixers, biscuit equipment etc.
Beyond that to guarantee a concrete leading production of food, the donation is become an important support to the continuous one search for enhancement of the quality of the life, offering work places in the bakery and useful incomes to the social rehabilitation.
Thanks to the offers and to the free donations,t the Caritas can support the actual programs of recovery, health assistance, development and emergency.
Without the help of donors and all benefactors this has been not possible.

I GRANDI CORSI: FAUSTO RIVOLA
It's almost Christmas time!
The last of the “Grandi Corsi” meetings for 2009 has taken place. The master bread baker and pastry cook Fausto Rivola talked about the flat and rising bread, a traditional product of Genua, very popular in all Italian cities in different varieties and flavours.
The meeting, thus, became an opportunity to get to know and taste breads from Bari or Recco; soft and tempting, with cheese or spices.

Before the beginning of the lesson Vittorio Santoro, head of CASTAlimenti, proudly announced that the arrangement with Polin&C to organize other meetings with backery master chefs has been renewed.
In February 2010 will take place the last of the seven scheduled meetings, it will be held by the famous maste chef Salvatore DE RISO, who will talk about the differences in flavours throughout Italy.
The exact date of the meeting has not been decided yet, however due to the high number of members expected, a prior presence confirmation is suggested. (To confirm, please contact CASTAlimenti: +39 030 2350076)

I GRANDI CORSI: ACHILLE ZOIA
During the fifth meeting of “Grandi Corsi” (in partnership with CASTAlimenti), master backer Achille Zoia talked about the manufacturing of biscuits, demonstrating both mixing and baking processes on Polin's Mixers, Multidrop and ovens.
The many bakers at the meeting had the chance to learn receipts and secrets of producing soft mascaroons, canestrelli, almond biscuits, inglesini, whipped shortbreads, almond pastries, wine donuts and so on.

I GRANDI CORSI: PIERPAOLO MAGNI
During the fourth meeting of “Grandi Corsi” (in partnership with CASTAlimenti), master backer Pierpaolo Magni talked about the history and tradition of cakes, describing and presenting the most typical delicacies in the Italian tradition.
The guests attending the meeting had the chance to follow the whole preparation process and then to taste several kinds of cakes, expecially made by the master baker.

I GRANDI CORSI: LUIGI BIASETTO
During the third meeting of “Grandi Corsi” (in partnership with CASTAlimenti), master backer Luigi Biasetto talked about breakfast products.
Before the many extremely motivated partecipants, the master baker described ingredients, components and making of croissants, wholemeal Italian and French brioches, with natural leaven, veneziane, krapfen, milk rice cakes, discussing mixtures and manufacture.
The attendants had the chance to touch and taste a wide range of breakfast products made by the master baker and expert CASTAlimenti bakers.
