A long family history

Our long history is one of inspiration and passion.
It is built on the dreams, ingenuity and hard work of four generations of men and women. We have always invented, created and innovated technology for the art of baking.
We believe that quality is an absolute value, just like transparency and honesty. These values have carried our technology and our name all across the world.

1929

The story of a leader begins

Gino Polin was an inventor, a visionary and a pioneer. He was able to look to the future, imagining what his talent could create, and had the courage to begin a journey that would continue for many years to come.
It was 1929 when he founded Ing Polin & C, a company producing ovens for baking and pastry goods. Even back then, the range already included electric deck ovens alongside traditional ovens.

1935

Improvement of existing electric ovens

The company enters the market and sees immediate success with its high-quality products.
Its electric ovens stand out for their excellent construction and the first important technical innovations brought to market to increase performance.

1937

Initial evolution of tube ovens

Engineer Gino Polin successfully introduces technological modifications to existing versions, improving quality.

1939

The first tunnel oven

Focusing on the needs of the market, the company not only serves the world of artisan baking, but begins to introduce solutions for bakeries targeting large-scale production. This leads to creation of the first Polin tunnel ovens, launching what will become the company’s second core business area: industrial production.

1953

Expansion begins

The company grows, driven by its success and riding the wave of economic development in the post-war period.
The decision is made to build a new production facility to better support the company’s increased output, meet the need to modernise production and capitalise on opportunities for growth.
The new Polin site opens in Verona.

1962

International growth

Strengthened by its success in Italy and confident in the high quality of its products, the company begins its international expansion, planning commercial partnerships and presenting its products at leading international trade fairs.

1963

Spray booths for the automotive sector

In the sixties, Polin sees particular success in a segment it entered over a decade earlier: the production of spray booths for the automotive industry.
Driven by the economic boom and increased demand, this sector develops rapidly from both a technological and industrial perspective and Polin proves to be a pioneer, introducing cutting-edge solutions.

1965

Strengthening its industrial presence: rotary moulders for biscuits

Growth in the artisan sphere is accompanied by growth in the industrial sphere, with an increased range: in addition to tunnel ovens, the company also designs and creates machinery for continuous biscuit moulding.

1972

The first rack oven

From the introduction of the first rack ovens, Polin plays a key role in their technological innovation, driving development to such a level that they soon become a truly effective alternative to deck ovens.
This is an innovative new solution for the baking industry.

1973

The Nogarole Rocca facility

The company grows and expands its horizons: the new facility in Nogarole Rocca is opened to meet evolving production and logistics needs.
This is an operational site dedicated to production and logistics, designed to increase efficiency, improve workflows and support future development.

1975

Always innovating

One of the core aspects of the company ethos established by Gino Polin was the continuous pursuit of innovation.
This has always been a cornerstone of the company’s approach, enabling continuous growth over its history.
This is why it has consistently invested in and focused on its innovation and R&D department.

This 1975 image shows the technical and engineering department at the time.

1980

Acquisition of Ostali represents the first step in formation of the Polin Group

A desire to remain leaders in advanced technology, capable of evolving with the market, inspires us to invest in research, create new specialised departments and acquire businesses that are the right fit in terms of operations, quality and shared ideals and principles.

With the acquisition of Ostali, a historic company founded in 1909, Polin launches plans to expand its product range and establish the Polin Group.

1992

Mixer joins the Polin Group

Mixer was launched in 1992, with the specific aim of conquering the mixer market and has become a leader in the sector. The decision to design and create quality products, for both artisan and industrial sectors, enabled development of all types of solutions and the acquisition of unique global expertise in the industry.

Today, Mixer offers a complete range of products suitable for various types of dough, from bread to biscuits, pastry and leavened products.

2005

Ram joins the Polin Group

In 2005, Ram joined the Group, bringing its highly specialised technical expertise and research and innovation capabilities, and enabling Polin to complete what is now the largest range in the market.

Ram offers a comprehensive range of advanced machines: mixers, sheeters and dough dividers for baking, patisserie and pizza production.

2012

Polin goes energy self-sufficient

In 2012, we made an important decision enabling us to become energy self-sufficient.
We installed two large photovoltaic plants at our facilities in Verona and Nogarole Rocca. These have capacities of 951 kWp and 840 kWp, meeting all of the company’s energy demands.
This offers economic and environmental benefits. Each year, we avoid more than 1,000 tonnes of atmospheric CO2 emissions.

2012

The first pellet-fired ovens are introduced

We selected our top rack oven and steam-tube oven as a starting point due to global recognition of their outstanding performance. Our mission was to create pellet-fired alternatives with the same results and features as their traditional counterparts.
After 5 years of research and development, we came up with the first ovens that provide professional bakers with an environmentally-friendly means to do their job.

2014

BakeApp software is launched to control ovens remotely

Polin presents BakeApp, innovative software designed to network multiple ovens, even if they are located across different sales outlets, allowing users to monitor operation and gather live production and consumption data.
Advanced functions include the ability to manage each oven remotely: the ideal solution for those supervising multiple locations or production plants.

2016

New Group company Polin-AC is launched

Polin-AC is a leading manufacturer of oven units and painting systems for automotive and industrial use. It was founded in 2017 through combination of Polin’s automotive experience, which began in 1940, and Aria-C, a dynamic company specialised in energy-efficient ventilation and heating systems.
